USDA Importing or Exporting Equine Information

Nov 13th, 2017 | By | Category: News

On October 27, 2017, the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service launched updated web pages to make it easier for those involved with importing or exporting equine to understand and meet the requirements. Users can select the type of import or export desired – permanent import, temporary import, US horses returning to the US after an event, embryo or semen import, or export – and the country involved. The website will provide the necessary guidance and forms quickly and easily.

Check the Equine Import and Export Website for more information. While using the new pages, if you have questions, please contact the import staff for assistance. You can reach them by phone at 301-851-3300, Option 2 or by email at VS.Live.Animal.Import.Export@aphis.usda.gov.
