COLUMBUS — Patricia Davis Vinson, 55, died May 9, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services are Monday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Granville Wiggins and Walter Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Vinson was born Sept. 6, 1958, in Aberdeen to Ellen Adair Davis and the late Wilford Eugene Davis. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital as a certified first assistant. She was a member of the Mississippi Chapter of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. In addition to her father, she was preceded by her husband, Thomas Lynn Vinson. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Whitney Allen of Oxford; sons, Paul Hawkins of Hoover, Alabama, Tony Hawkins of Denver, Colorado, and Corey Vinson of Oxford; sisters, Kathy Elliott of Oxford, Ann Jourdan of Brooksville, Nancy Duke of Aberdeen and Mary Tillman of Hamilton; brother, Johnny Davis of Hamilton; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Shepherd, Bill Dorrah, Davis Hankins, Phil Duke, Paul Hawkins and Tony Hawkins.
