Walking Horse enthusiast Robert Hurley, age 83 of Hayden, AL, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
He is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Jeffrey) Fuller of Forestdale and Sherri (Ken) Clark of Danville; three grandchildren, Benjamin Fuller, Elijah Clark and Elizabeth Clark; Shirley Cowley of Bessemer; James Richard Hurley of Birmingham and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hurley was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Julia B Hurley; parents, Lawrence S. Hurley and Regina F. Hurley; a brother, Lawrence (Buddy) Hurley Jr; sisters, Elizabeth Glenn, Bobbie Burch, Bonnie Smith, Betty Case and Joan Lanahan.
Mr Hurley was long time member of Brookhaven United Methodist Church of Powderly. He was also a member of the Walking Horse Association of Alabama as well as the Alabama Show Horse Association. The Scoop sends are deepest sympathy to the Hurley family.
