Mr. Jack Mitchell passed from this life on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. He was 78 years old. Mr. Mitchell was the son of Bill and Clara Nell Mitchell who precede him in death. He was a Walking Horse owner and faithful supporter of the industry. Walking Horses and family were how he spent his spare time but his career was building a grocery empire.

From Albertville, Alabama, Jack is survived by a daughter, Karen Algie and by sons, David and Angela Mitchell, Jay and LaWanda Mitchell. He also leaves behind cherishing his memory 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death along with his parents were his sister Marie Reaves, and brothers Jim and Joe Mitchell.
