Harold Dean Givens, age 80, passed away February 28, 2017. He was a native of Cannon Country but lived most of his life in Rutherford County. Harold served in the National Guard and worked as a barber. He was an ambassador of the Tennessee Walking Horse as a breeder, showman, and served on the TWHBEA Board of Directors from 1997-2001.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Burford and Daisy Givens; son, Jeff Givens; brother, Lytle Givens. He is survived by his wife, Alice Marie Sledge Givens; daughter-in-law, Deborah Givens; brother, Kenneth Givens; sister-in-law, Sandra Givens; and grandchildren, Christopher and Kelsey Givens, all of Murfreesboro.
