Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast, long time supporter and World Champion equestrian Dr. W. H. “Harry” Hill has passed away. He would have celebrated his 99th birthday next week.
Most recently, Dr. Hill and Kudo’s For Cash claimed top honors in the Owner-Amateur 70 Years & Over class for three consecutive years at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. His last victory pass was made in 2013.
The entire Walking Horse Industry will miss his southern, gentle nature and kind smile, but experiencing a greater loss will be his loving barn family at Carl Edwards & Sons Stables of Dawson, GA. Paige Edwards, wife of trainer Gary Edwards, released the following statement. “Dr. Hill was as near perfect as man can be! He loved people, and he spent his time, his efforts, and his resources to better the lives of as many others as he could.” The Scoop sends prayerful thoughts and warmest condolences to the Hill family.
