Long time Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast and supporter Doug Crawford has passed away. Mr. Douglas Clifford “Doug” Crawford, age 71 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday evening, August 13, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Carrollton Historic Train Depot.
Doug was a United States Army veteran and attended Southern Tech. After graduating, he started a company that specialized in the design of commercial, industrial, retail and single-family development. He was a very successful businessman.
He is survived by his wife and World Grand Champion equestrian, Sheryl Crawford and sons Mike and Tim Crawford. The Crawfords have supported the Tennessee Walking Horse Industry for over 35 years and own Saddlecrest Farm in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
