James Clyde France, age 68, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. Mr. France was born in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Becky France. He was owner and operator of Clydes Trucking. Mr. France loved his family and showing horses.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Fearl France.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey France of Clintwood; son, Jimmy France and wife Becky of Wise, Virginia; daughter, Daphne France of Charlotte, North Carolina; 6 grandchidren, Ashley France, James Ryan France, Austin Lyall, Kevin Lyall, Caitlin France and Colton Wallace; 4 brothers, Earl France and Clearsy France of Clintwood, Burl France of Nickelsville, Virginia and Delmar France of Ohio; 7 sisters, Betty Polly and Amanda Phillips of Alexandria, Virginia, Jimmie J. Baker and Wilma Stanley of Clintwood, Jenny Mae Taylor of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Alberta Kistner of Bristol, Tennessee and Eileen Angel of Greensboro, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 22nd at 11:00 AM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with John Farmer officiating. Burial followed in the France Family Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
