Mr. Clarence Paul Williams, father of Walking Horse trainer Chad Williams, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017. The Rutherford County native was 74 years old. He was the son of the late W.C. and Alice Smith Williams. Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Timbs.

Surviving Mr. Williams are his beloved wife of 54 years, Barbara Sharber Williams; sons Troy (Traci) of Bell Buckle, TN and Chad (Jaclyn) of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter Susan Davenport (Mike) of Rockvale, TN; brother C. W. Williams of Rockvale, TN and a sister Alice Calloway of Murfreesboro, TN; and eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Mr. Williams was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN and was retired from Nissan. Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, TN is in charge of arrangements. The Scoop sends our warmest condolences to the Williams Family.
