Trip Of A Lifetime, a beautiful, Palomino stallion
owned by Janice and Evan Plyler of Matthews, N.C.,
passed away during the night of Feb. 23.
This
16.3-hand Palomino turned heads everywhere he went. With a great disposition, he also caught many hearts as well.
By the great Trip My Trigger and out of a Merry
Go Boy mare, the Plylers purchased Trip in the spring
of 2004.
He
was placed immediately with Jeff Givens to show in the
Park Pleasure classes.
Trip and Jeff graced many shows that year,
earning top honors.
Among those are the Mid American Spring Charity
Show, Jackson, Miss.; The Park Pleasure Championship
at the East Tennessee Classic, White Pine, Tenn.; The
Southern Championship at Perry, Ga.; and other shows.
Jeff and Trip really turned heads anywhere they
went, quite a striking pair!
After the Celebration in 2005, the Plylers took
Trip home to the Carolinas to breed mares.
Sam
McLaughlin at Wildwood Farms of Florence, S.C. handled
Trip, showing him only a couple of times.
In 2006, they won the South Carolina State
Championship at Clemson, S.C.
Meredith Plyler, their granddaughter, was
planning to show him this summer.
At
the time of his untimely death, Trip was at Stan
Tindal Stables in Manning, S.C. He was planning to use Trip to breed some mares this spring.
This Palomino stallion with a great disposition will
be missed by many who knew and loved him.
