World Grand Champion The Lottery was humanely put to rest on Oct. 10 due to a broken leg.

He held numerous prestigious titles and was a great ambassador for the Tennessee Walking Breed.   Under the direction of David Landrum Stables, his incredible show career included a 2002 15.2 and Under World Grand Championship win with Joe Cotten.   Milly Player of Tintern Abbey Farms, Darlene Buckner and Gail Baumgardner of Lancaster, S.C. purchased The Lottery from long-time owners Dr. and Mrs. Rafael Rigual of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after the 2007 Celebration.

In his short time at Tintern Abbey Farms, the crew formed a special bond with this horse that will never be forgotten.  The Scoop sends its heartfelt condolences to the owners and trainers of this notable horse.
