Kinsey, 22, one of the
last living daughters of WGC Mark of Carbon, passed
away peacefully at her home in Dickson, Tenn. She
was the foundation of the breeding program at
Rushing Creek Walkers and will be greatly missed.
Although obtained later in life after a successful
show career, Kinsey firmly established herself in
her owners’ hearts and lives. She was the first to
greet any visitors. Her gentle nature and willing
to please attitude will always be remembered.
Rushing Creek Walkers was blessed to have bred and
raised her last two foals, Marked For Excellence, a
two-year-old by WGC The Pushover, who is currently
under the direction of Michael and Stephen Daniel of
Riverbend Stables in Madison, Tenn., and Truly
Remarkable, a yearling by RWGC Pushover's
Powerstroke. Kinsey’s owners expect these two young
ladies would have made Kinsey proud.
Kinsey was laid to rest overlooking the pasture
where she raised her daughters. Her passing has
left a void in the hearts of her owners, Ronnie and
Angela Rushing, that will not soon be filled.
