A JAZZ MAN PASSES

A Jazz Man, a leading sire of World Champions and World Grand Champions, passed away  Feb. 5.

Gus King of Arab, Ala. and Joe and Cena Martin of Shelbyville, Tenn. owned A Jazz Man. According to Dr. Jim Baum, the veterinarian who treated A Jazz Man, the official cause of death was a twisted small intestine.

A Jazz Man was standing at stud at Joe Martin Stables.  At seventeen, A Jazz Man was a proven producer of many greats, including current 2007 World Grand Champions Master of Jazz, NYPD, Dragonfly and Jazz’s Master.

The Scoop and its readers send their condolences to the Martins and Kings for their loss.  Though the Walking Horse Industry will miss this noteworthy horse, his legacy will live on through his offspring.
