Northside Lions Club Continues Tradition

SAMANTHA, AL- The Northside Lions Club recently celebrated 47 years of hosting their annual horse show. The Gilbert McCarley Memorial Walking Horse Show took place on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Northside Lions Club Arena. There were 33 classes and Newton Parks of Murfreesboro, Tennessee marked the cards.

Walking, Racking and Spotted Horse classes were showcased throughout the night. The evening’s grand finale was the Walking Horse Stake class. Sloe Gen Jose and Tim Smith claimed the title for owner LaRue McWaters. Reserve title went to I’m Outta Line and Menno Yoder for owner Linda McCarley.
