Nelms Benefit Horse Show

Aug 23rd, 2017 | By | Category: News

The family of Bob Nelms ended Friday night, August 11, 2017 with very grateful and thankful hearts. This was a night that friends and family gathered honoring one man, Mr. Bob Nelms. Earlier this year, Nelms was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer. Organizers of this event thought it was a very appropriate time to honor a man who has given so much to others, and has been a great supporter of the horse industry.
The Bob Nelms Country Boy Horse Show and Silent Auction was held in his honor at Pleasant Valley Farms. The show began with a beautiful speech by Becky Nelms and the National Anthem sung by Mary Williams. Mack Deckle served as announcer while Holly Liddell and Vicki Self alternated as judges. Over 118 entries were showcased and over $10,000 was raised from the show and silent auction.
For anyone wishing to send Mr. Nelms a card of encouragement, the address is as follows: Bob Nelms, 8859 Horton Hwy., College Grove, Tennessee 37046.
