Mr. Louie Garland George age 72, of Shelbyville passed away Wed March 5, 2014. He was born June 27, 1941 in Cullman, AL. He is survived by his wife Jessie Crumley George of Shelbyville. Louie trained TN Walking Horses from the mid 70’s to the early 90’s. Louie was one of the first 100 trainers to obtain his training license through the TWHTA. Louie trained in GA, AL and TN. He was known as the “ little guy with the big heart”. He trained well known horses such as Ebony Cut Above, Backwoodsman, Esau By Hacksaw and Bum’s Showboat. Louie and his wife were married for 50 years on Jan 25, 2014. Louie loved the TN Walking Horse and the TN Walking Horse Industry. No Services were held.
