Larry Nelson Obituary

Mr. Larry Nelson Adams, 64, husband of Mary Ann Adams, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Conway Medical Center following an illness.
Born June 12, 1951, in Conway, South Carolina he was the son of the late Henry Nelson and Dorothy Faulk Adams. Larry was a pawnbroker and former police officer. He owned horses and in his younger years enjoyed stock car racing at the former Myrtle Beach Speedway. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason of Lodge 205 in Loris and a veteran of the United States Army who served two tours in Vietnam. To his two daughters, though, his greatest accomplishment was being the greatest Daddy in the world.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann Johnson Adams; his daughters, Tara (Danny) Wilson and Jill (Jody) Peavy; his grandchildren, Will and Anna Wilson; his sisters, Dianne (Henry) Bell and Carlene (Mike) Anderson; and his brother, Dale (Bernice) Adams.
Funeral services where held Friday, September 25, 2015, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, officiated by Pastor John Watts, John Dash and Glenn Elliott. Burial at Zoan United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kelita Colburn for her special care and support.
