The Smoky Mountain Walking Horse Association has announced Allison Hopkins as the recipient of the Jerry Derryberry Memorial Scholarship. The Hancock County High School senior plans to attend Mississippi State University with a career goal in business. Allison is the daughter of Benjamin and Jodie Hopkins. Along with her academic achievements, she has also excelled in the Tennessee Walking Horse industry and earned several honors. The Scoop wishes Allison the best of luck in college.
