The Jim Baum Family recently announced the passing of the 1999 15.2 & Under World Grand Champion The Duck. The black stallion was humanely laid to rest on March 12, 2017- four days after his 27th birthday.

Although Rodney Dick directed The Duck to a World Grand Championship, Dr. Jim Baum also accumulated numerous wins with the champion. The Duck was sired by Duck River Pride out of a Triple Threat mare. The Scoop fondly remembers this great horse with our warmest sympathy.
