Papa’s Dark Shadow, owned by Brant Collier of Rogersville, AL & Marjorie Watson of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on June 3, 2014 at Baum Equine Hospital in Shelbyville, TN, due to complications from a twisted intestine/colic. A winning show horse his entire career, this outstanding 9 year old gelding was crowned “2011 World Champion Owner Amateur Youth Novice Riders 12-17 on Novice Mares & Geldings” with Brant Collier in the irons! This victory was attained under the banner of Jerry Collier Stables of Rogersville, AL, where Papas Dark Shadow was prepared for the show ring for the majority of his show career. Papas Dark Shadow was bred & raised by Jerry Hudgins of Clarkesville, GA. He will be sadly missed in the show ring, & by Ms. Watson & the Collier Stables Family!
