Equine Obituary- Mighty Maxx

Mighty Maxx, the World Grand Champion owned and loved by Jo Ann Dowell of Powell, Ohio passed away October 23, 2017. He was 23 years old at the time of his death. The black stallion, sired by Pride’s Beam and out of Fashion’s Promenade, was foaled May 31, 1994.

In his early showring career, Mighty Maxx was shown under the Bill Bobo leadership and earned many accolades while owned by Betty Robins. Bobo rode him to a Two Year Old Stallion World Championship. At three and four , he continued garnering awards including the Owner/Amateur Four Year Old World Grand Champion and World Champion with Betty Robins.

In 2000, Jo Ann Dowell noticed what a talented Walking Horse he was and from that moment on, she owned and loved him for the rest of his life. SueAnn Dowell showed the stallion for the next two years until he became a great breeding stallion at Sand Creek Farm followed by his forever breeding home at Fantasy Farms in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
