Mar 27th, 2018 | By | Category: News, Obituaries

Jose’s Centerfold was humanely laid to rest following complications from colic on Thursday, March 15, 2018. The beautiful World Grand Champion mare was sired by Jose’ Jose’ and out of Tarheel’s Supreme Colors. She was foaled on October 5, 2005 to Bob Rollins. Bill Williams noticed her talent very quickly and began her training under the direction of Shea Woods.

In 2012 Wright Stables would begin training Jose’s Centerfold for Williams. Under this training banner, the mare claimed her first World Championship and World Grand Championship in the Novice division. Between Williams, and trainers Casey and Michael Wright, Jose’s Centerfold won seven World Championships, two World Grand Championships and three Reserve World Championships.

In 2017, Casey Wright’s daughter, Emma, took over the reins making her show ring debut at the Money Tree Fall Classic while claiming top honors. This duo went on to win blue at the Tunica Fall Classic. Tunica was the mare’s final show, and she won it with spectators on their feet cheering for an outstanding performance. The Scoop sends our condolences to the Williams and Wright Families.
