NCW15-077-034__(1)-8x10 --Vida BlueThe Walking Horse Industry lost on of its greats the morning of November 3, 2015. He’s Vida Blue died from complications from colic.
He’s Vida Blue is the reigning Reserve Tennessee Walking Horse World Grand Champion as well as from 2013. His last win
came the first weekend in October at the North Carolina Championship show where he was crowned the Walking Horse Stake Champion with trainer Chad Williams. Gayle Holcomb, who was the owner at the time of his death, shared the reins with trainer Chad Williams from 2014 through ealier in 2015. Williams handled the Championship rides in 2013 winning many Stake classes.
Prior owner, Kay Green and trainer Knox Blackburn kick started Vida Blue’s winning record. In 2010, he had an undefeated year with Blackburn and Green winning the Amateur Three Year Old Stallions World Championship as well as the Amateur Three Year Old World Grand Championship. The wins just kept coming for this team. Again in 2011 and 2012 Blackburn and Green celebrated undefeated victories. He’s Vida Blue won the 2011 Amateur Four Year Old Stallions World Championship along with the Amateur Four Year Old World Grand Championship.
In 2012, the team stepped up to the aged ranks to win the Amateur Stallions World Championship and the Amateur World Grand Championship.
