Shelbyville, TN- On Wednesday, March 22, 2017 USDA-APHIS Deputy Director Administrator Bernadette Juarez addressed the Walking Horse Trainers’ Association at their March meeting. This meeting is an annual event that is held in conjunction with the National Trainers’ Show.

In Juarez’s speech, she communicated the group’s goals which were also released as part of the APHIS’ Strategic Plan. Trainers were given a chance to ask questions or make comments during a time of open-floor discussions. This meeting was the first event of a highly anticipated weekend as the 2017 National Trainers’ Show kicks off.
