Lead Line World Grand Championship
After receiving a petition from exhibitors requesting a move, show officials from the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration have announced that the Lead Line World Grand Championship will be Sunday, August 26, 2018. This will be class 80A, the first class of the Sunday evening performance. The petition stated safety concerns for the young exhibitors. The Celebration studied the request and feels the safety for all exhibitors is a priority.

Adult Pony World Grand Championship
Celebration officials have also announced the return of the Adult Pony World Grand Championship. In 2017, the Adult Pony and 15.2 & Under World Grand Championship classes were combined due to a lack of entries the previous years. After receiving multiple requests to split the two, the Celebration looked into the number of entries from 2018 shows. Since both divisions have been well attended, as a result, officials have decided to divide the two World Grand Championship classes. Thursday evening, August 30th will tentatively host Class 137A, the Adult Pony World Grand Championship. If the class fails to have 10 entries at the time of the entry deadline, then the class will be removed and those signed up will be allowed to show in the Amateur 15.2 & Under World Grand Championship, Class 141 on Thursday evening.

The Amateur Mares/Geldings preliminary classes will be split also. There will be a 15.2 & Under Mares/Geldings class in Tuesday evening, Class 115, and the Mares/Geldings Pony class will be Monday evening, Class 102A.
