Bedford Cancer Foundation Hosts Annual Show

Apr 6th, 2017 | By | Category: News

On April 22, 2017 the Bedford Cancer Foundation will host its annual Walking For Cancer Horse Show. The fundraising event will take place at the Champions Arena on The Celebration grounds in Shelbyville, TN. This horse show is a major source of funds that helps patients and families in Bedford County who are having financial difficulties during their journey with cancer. In the past 8 years, the Foundation has distributed more than $170,000 in assistance.
The Walking For Cancer Horse Show will feature 30 classes of both flat shod and padded performance horses. Included is also a Pink Ribbon Performance Amateur Specialty Class. This is a very special class in which amateur riders will exhibit in honor or memory of a cancer victim.
This year’s show will be dedicated to the memory of Larry Lowman. Lowman was an original Foundation Board member and a long time Walking Horse owner and supporter.
Box seats of 6 are still available. To reserve your spot you can contact Karen Inman (205) 238-1126. For other horse show information, direct inquiries to Show Manager Iris Schumann (931) 703-7257 or Co-Chair Pam Ingraham (615) 504-9580.
