2018 Celebration Fun Facts

The recent Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration is in the books and ended on a positive note. There were interesting statistics that came from the 80th Anniversary show; some were history makers.

* Lined Royal Cash broke the Fine Harness record by claiming her 11th win in this division. The 8 year old mare is owned by Jack and Wilsene Kwok. She has received blues with Bobby Hugh, Michael Overcast and owners, Jack and Wilsene Kwok.
* Bob Adcock kicked off his Celebration in a big way by winning two World Championships in the same night.
* Carol Missildine came to the 2018 Celebration as a novice rider, (no blue ribbons at the Celebration) and went back home with 2 World Grand Championships and 4 World Championships.
* Another first was in the model division. All three model classes were won by the same trainer, Robert Nelms, as well as the same owners, Ronnie and Angela Rushing with Rushing Creek Walkers.
* 21 more horses showed in the 36 championship classes than in 2017.
* First place ties were diverse. There were only 53 unanimous ties. Judge Sisk and Stuart tied the winner 134 times, Judge Hilley tied the winner 131 times, Judges Sorrel and Campbell tied the winner 128 times.
* Myatt Manor won the most World Grand Championships with 5. Callaway Stables, Wright Stables and Finish Line Farms were a close second with 3 World Grand Championships.
* Winning the most blue ribbons was Callaway Stables with 19, Myatt Manor was next with 14, and Wright Stables and Baucom Stables were tied for third with 12.
* Jimmy McConnell won his fourth World Grand Championship title.
