FAST
To Provide Assistance With
Rulemaking Responses
|
|
(July 12, 2011 Shelbyville,
Tennessee) – The Foundation for
the Advancement and Support of the
Tennessee Walking Show Horse
(FAST) will host a “help desk” on
Wednesday July 20, 2011. The help
desk will assist anyone who needs
aid in filing a response to the
USDA’s proposed amendment to the
Federal Regulations that would
require mandatory penalties.
FAST will host the help day
from 10:00AM-3:00PM at the SHOW
HIO office in Shelbyville, Tenn.
The SHOW office is located at 1021
Colloredo Blvd. You can also call
the SHOW office for assistance at
931-684-9506.
"We believe
the mandatory penalties proposed
by the USDA are not only
unconstitutional but are designed
to undermine the very existence of
our show horse. Everyone who
supports the Tennessee Walking
Show Horse, or if your livelihood
is touched in any way by the show
horse, you should make your
opposition to this proposal known.
Please stop by or call and let our
volunteers assist in getting your
response filed," said FAST
President Mike Inman.
FAST
will have access to computers,
bullet points to help with
responses and background
information on the filing in the
Federal Register, the USDA press
release and responses filed by
other organizations. Volunteers
will be in attendance to help
answer questions and provide any
additional data needed. A light
lunch will be sponsored by FAST.
FAST is a 501 (c)3
organization that’s mission is to
promote and preserve the Tennessee
Walking Show Horse. All donations
are tax deductible and are put to
immediate use in the industry. For
more information or to make a
donation visit FAST.
