Bolivar, passed away
at 8:50 p.m.
Wednesday, February
10, 2010, in the
Citizens Memorial
Healthcare Facility
in Bolivar after a
long fight with
cancer. She was born
in Bolivar on April
6, 1947, the
daughter of Wilbur
Franklin (Frank)
Brashear and Cora
Leah (Morgan)
Brashear.
She attended North
Ward Elementary and
Bolivar High School.
She was a member of
Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, the
Bolivar Saddle Club,
The Heart of America
Walking Horse
Association, The
Southwest Missouri
Horse Association
and the Red Hat
Mommas.
She
was preceded in
death by her
parents, Frank W.
Brashear and Cora
Leah Bowling.
Surviving is her
husband of 46 years,
Steve Skopec, of
Bolivar; two sons
and their wives,
Scott Allen and Jana
Skopec of Troy, Mo.,
and Stephen Lee and
Sara Skopec of
Bolivar, Mo; also
two sisters, Diane
Moore and husband
Terry of
Humansville, Mo.,
and Linda Lane and
husband Bob of
Parker, Colo.; and
nine grandchildren,
Caleb, Seth, Ryan,
Kyle and Kathryn of
Bolivar and Brooke,
Landen, Nicholas and
Reese of Troy, Mo.
Along with several
nieces and nephews.
A Prayer
Service will be held
at 6 p.m. Friday,
February 12, 2010,
in the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church with
Visitation to follow
at 6:30 p.m. The
Mass Of Christian
Burial will be held
at 10 a.m. Saturday,
February 13, 2010,
in the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in
Bolivar with Father
Patrick Wissman
officiating. Burial
will be in the St.
Wenceslaus Cemetery
at Karlin, south of
Bolivar under the
care and direction
of the Butler
Funeral Home of
Bolivar.
In
lieu of Flowers
contributions may be
made to the Sacred
Heart Church
Building Fund.
