INDUSTRY MOURNS LOSS OF A WALKING ANGEL

AKA RACKING MATHILDA

One of Kathy Paul McLean's beloved horses, Racking Mathilda, died on November 8, 2009 at her home in Conroe, TX.  Mathilda was born A Walking Angel in February of 1989. Early in her show career, A Walking Angel's true calling and talent was discovered in the Speed Racking Division by trainer Roger Ivins.  Soon afterwards she was re-named Racking Mathilda and worked her way through many a local winner’s circle to become a local Texas Legend.

Anyone that had the privilege to ride this mare will tell you that to ride Racking Mathilda was like riding the wind.  She never failed to WOW the crowds and bring them to their feet.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and many fans alike.
