Cheryl Ann Posenke Emerson passed away in Springfield, Missouri. Cheryl was the lovely wife of Trevor Emerson, and daughter of Effalea Bridges and Floyd Posenke. Cheryl and her first husband, Greg Pratt, have a son, Lt. JG Gary C. Pratt of Norfolk, Virginia. She was the sister of Ned Posenke and aunt of Haily Posenke.

Cheryl was a well known horse trainer and showed horses of various breeds in this area for many years. Her father, Floyd Posenke, and grandfather, Ted Bridges, are also well known horsemen. Cheryl's beautiful spirit will be missed by her family and many friends.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday Sept. 8, 2009, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, MO.
