P.H. "Buddy" Payne, Jr., age 68, of Franklin, TN and formerly of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday December 1, 2009.

Buddy was born in Nashville, TN on February 2, 1941.  He was the son of the late Presley Haynes Payne, Sr. and Katherine Moss Payne.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Tuck.  He is survived by one son, Haynes Payne III of Florence, AL, one step-son Shannon House and wife Shannon of Hendersonville, two step daughters; Kim Payne of Orlando FL and Terry Ladd and husband Jerry of Gallatin and one brother Jimmy Payne and his wife Brenda of Gallatin, and grandchildren Garrett and Gavin House, Laura Tuck, and Barron and Allison Ladd.  Pallbearers will be Carthal Smith, Bob Suderth, Charles Bone, Tommy Dyer, Martin Spears, Jim Payne, Jr. and Robert Payne.

Visitation is Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 3-8 PM at Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Funeral services are Friday, December 4, 2009 at noon from the First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Yarborough and Carthal Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
