MURFREESBORO,
TN - In spite of the cold
temperatures outside,
competition in the Tennessee
Miller
Coliseum heated up as
another record was set with
166 entries making the gate
call at the January 19 WHOA-TWHBEA
Academy Show. Just two
weeks earlier in Bowling
Green, KY, 120 entries
participated breaking all
previous records. The
Academy Shows just keep
getting bigger and better.
Not only was the number of
youth and adult participants
up but also the number of
spectators. WHOA and TWHBEA
want to thank all of the
instructors and their
students for their
participation and all of
those who came to watch
these new riders demonstrate
their skills.
Frankie Jo Bradley did an
excellent job of tying the
36 classes. Leah Boyd
honored our country and our
flag with her beautiful
rendition of the National
Anthem. Tommy Hall called
the classes to the ring and
entertained the crowd with
his enjoyable announcing
skills. Those who helped
put on this outstanding show
include: Mark Taylor,
Harolene Willis, Lori
Puckett, Stan Butt, David
Pruett, Marcy Wilson, Connie
Waldo, Patsy Newberry,
Denise Rowland, Brenda
Skelton, Gwen Skelton
Williams, Courtney Hicks,
Dee Dee Sale, and Yvonne
Griffith.
Everyone is invited to
attend the next WHOA-TWHBEA
Academy Show to be held on
February 16, 10:00 a.m. at
Midland Equestrian Center on
